Walk & Talk Therapy

Sometimes healing happens best in motion. Walk and talk therapy is a gentle alternative to traditional in-office sessions (sitting in front of the screen), offering the benefits of movement, fresh air, and nature while engaging in therapeutic conversation. It can feel less intense or clinical, and more like taking a thoughtful stroll with someone who’s there to support you.

For new and expectant parents, this option can be especially helpful. You’re welcome to bring your baby or toddler along, sessions are stroller-friendly, and we go at your pace. Babies can nap, snack, babble, or be soothed as we walk. You don’t have to choose between caring for your mental health and caring for your child - you can do both.

Walk and talk sessions can support:

  • 1

Processing emotions in a calming, less confined environment.

  • 2

Reducing stress and improving mood through gentle movement.

  • 3

Regulating your nervous system with the grounding rhythm of walking.

  • 4

Creating space for yourself, especially when you're feeling "touched out" or overstimulated.

Walk and Talk sessions are currently available in Hamilton and Woodstock, Ontario, based on therapist availability.
